I hope they everyone had a good a day. My day has had some ups and downs. It started with me vomiting up half of my medications this morning. š¤®There was just no room for medications. Luckily were were able to figure out which pills to replace. Pretty gross I know. My stomach is so distended it feels like it will pop like a balloon if you put a pin in it.šI spoke with my medical team about it and they decided to give me an oral diuretic to help pull some fluid from my belly but in all honesty it did not work and I did not get any relief.
I spoke with my Aunt Martha on the phone for quite a while. It was great to talk with her, catch up and talk medical advice freely. Thank you.
I worked with physical therapy and felt really good about my accomplishments so far. She was very encouraging and informative.
I also had a surprise afternoon visitor!!! It's nice to sit an talk about things outside of the hospital.
All the while I'm really not feeling well... as I have said my abdomen is just so unbearably distended. I have multiple lab draws a day to monitor my blood levels ago provide the doctors with information on dosages for my medications. They rechecked labs in the afternoon because of my abdominal symptoms and vomiting. Well, my liver function levels are high so tomorrow I will have an ultrasound of my abdomen to take a look. I'm feeling overwhelmed and scared. I hope that whatever they find is fixable but I know that the liver is another very important organ in this equation and I need it to function correctly to absorb and filter the multiple medications I will require for the rest of my life. Prays and positive vibes needed.
I'm also scheduled for an echocardiogram of my heart at some point tomorrow. Results to come...
On a very exciting and positive note. My children will be here in Massachusetts tomorrow evening and I get to see them on Saturday!!!
I appreciate the opportunity to share the good and the bad with everyone including how I'm feeling. It really helps me to process the information that is thrown at me throughout the day and my emotions!!
